Overview
MemoryMate ("we", "us") helps you remember birthdays, anniversaries and gift ideas for the people you love. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account info — your email address, display name, and authentication identifiers when you sign up.
- People & occasions — names, relationships, birthdays, anniversaries, gift ideas, and notes you choose to add.
- Payment info — billing details are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Usage data — basic logs (timestamps, error reports) to keep the service running reliably.
How we use your information
- To provide reminders, AI gift suggestions, and the wishlist features you use.
- To process subscription payments and family plan invitations.
- To email you about reminders, security alerts, and product updates you opt into.
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or violations of our Terms.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to run MemoryMate (hosting, email delivery, payments) and when required by law.
Family plans & shared wishlists
When you invite family members or share a wishlist link, the people you add can see the names, occasions, and gift ideas you chose to share with them. You can revoke access at any time.
Your rights
You can access, export, correct, or delete your personal data from inside the app, or by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your personal information, subject to limited retention for legal and accounting purposes.
Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, row- level access controls, and least-privilege service accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your data.
